As so much demanded by several peoples and Sadhsangat ji, I am adding my brief autobiography, its hesitate to write.

At The Time of Birth

Ok, I born in Delhi on 8 feb 1984 after two sisters by Sardarni Kulwant Kour in house of Father Sardar Gumeet Singh ji son of Late Sardar Balbir Singh ji. My Grand Father was an artist specially in Marbel work,who was teacher of master of art in

Lahore College

who came after partition, my father is third son of him.

When I born, that time my father was taking “Hukam Nama” from Sri Guru Granth Sahib “Mere Hiyre Ratan Naam Har Basiya”. So that time he decided to name me as “Heera” and thus people knows me as “Heera” very well.

When I born, felt ill just after, doctors were failed to recover my health, when doctor failed to maintain me, they surrendered to my dad about my future life, and said him that “no blood is producing” ,around 11 am .

After harassed, my father took the scooter and went to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib for prayer my life, and after pray he came back to hospital,,

At evening shift, that same day, when another doctor came to analyze my health condition, felt in surprised, about my good health, and declared to be released me next day.

“THUS I SERVIVED BY “KIRPA” OF SRI GURU HARKRISHAN JI MAHARAAJ”   

Time of childhood

In our childhood, atmosphere of our home was so religious. My Grand mother used to visit Gurudwara everyday, and my Grand father was do so much “seva” to Sri Guru Granth Sahib in our home, he wakes up in the morning around three am in morning and do “nitnem” regularly. Till whole life even in age of 84 years.

My father is too so “nitnemi”. Like He do whole night “naam simran” and all.

My father used to play Kirtan Cassettes at Morning and later used to listen “Asa di War” live from Darbaar Sahib in Radio.and I sung these shabads whole day.

In our home, there was a Harmonium. After seen my interest, father repaired it.and encourage me for play it. Regularly, I played with it, thus I start to play harmonium. Firsts tune I played my self was a song of a film. That time I was in sixth standard. Some people thinks that I learn kirtan and harmonium in school, but here I want to tell that my schooling done in Govt. Boys Se. Sec. School Rani Bagh there is no kirtan class or music classes.  

Yes,I remember that once a teacher came to our Govt. school, temporary, for music subject, that time I was in class Six, when we were giving audition for music subject, my all class were selected accepted me.     

Introduction with Surinder Singh ji (jodhpuri) and kirtan

        On cabel channel we saw a new ragi doing kirtan “jin ke chole ratare piyare” and my family appreciated him, he was Bhai Sahib Bhai Surinder Singhji Jodhpuri. Further we wait for replay his cassette on channel, then my father purchased his “Asa Di war” video cassette and start play it regularly in morning.

Thus I became fan of him and sung his shabad for whole day. Then me and my father starting to attend all kirtan darbar of him regularly,

How I learn Kirtan

Once my father went to Darbar Sahib, and he had urged to listen the “Assa Di War”, by Jodhpuri ji, when he entered the Darbar Sahib, he surprised to see Surinder Singh ji Jodhpuri is doing kirtan of “Assa Di War” because he believed that his program were in Delhi in evening. He felt so happy and prayed to Darbar Sahib that “my son also do kirtan like him”

And between 15 days of ardas, even I did not know about ardas, but I started kirtan, very easily, I could play harmonium, like a “chamatkar”, thus I performed kirtan publically one of our relatives home inauguration. you can also see the picture in Gallery section of this website.

Admission in khalsa college

After completing high school, I wanted to take admission in top college Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College of morning Shift, which ranks was so high, then I take help of one of our area’s elected member refer by my grandfather and applied for this college.

Unluckily, we were late applied, because the interview or audition for kirtan boys and gals for special quota were passed. Now they don’t want to specially audition my kirtan for giving me quota of divinity society,

After failing, I request one of the Bursar of the college that I do kirtan very nice once you listen ,he denied, and said me to wait him in his college, I sited and sited so long time from 12pm to 4:30pm when he came back he impressed and grant my application for admission, all process took one month.

        “THUS I GOT ADMISSION IN COLLEGE IN POLITICAL SCIENCE hons”       

 My Kirtan Life

I Started kirtan in Home, Even I did not bother of meal. When I started kirtan, I started do kirtan in several kirtan societies.who does kirtan weekly, so very soon I became favorite of all the area Sangat , in 7 standard on stage.

In College all Gursikh Professors were so impressed with my kirtan, maily two professor really encourage me for my kirtan performance,

One of the professor was president of  Gurudwara Sahib in his area. He offered me to do kirtan on 31dec, I accept and did kirtan it was so hit.

He recorded cassettes and spread it to all the members of

Delhi

committee, all appreciated this cassette.

When one of the Sis Ganj Gurudwara President got the cassette and praised and liked to invite me in coming samagam, he took the number and called in my home who my mother received, I was in college that time,,,, and I eccept his invitation and did the kirtan. Thus, I receive calls from different gurudwara and I got famous.

        I also recive call from serval music company for gubani albums.

My first outside Kirtan

        My first out of city Kirtan I never can forget, it was in callcutta city, we did kirtan so nice and people praised us. But when we were returning home by Rajdhani Train Hawra to Delhi, it got accident in bihar, by some bad element the “fish plates” of tracks were removed and train got accident and fall 60 feet under the field with 120km/hr, luckily again we survived, only we 4 people could survived out of 64 passengers.

My Family Life

        I am the only son of my parents, out of two elder sisters, those are married. i am also a married person and happy to feel that I got married same city where Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji married name – BATALA near Amritsar Punjab. I got married in 2006 Having one boy name Harjio Singh who born in 2007. basically, we belongs from the businessman family and not traditional “ragi” family.
